For wholesalers running their own trucks, Open Pantry adds the controls a busy fleet needs on top of runs and live ETAs: delivery zones by postcode, a pre-start vehicle checklist, carton scanning at load-out, cash on delivery with an end-of-run cash-up, crates and empties balances, and an exceptions inbox for every short, refusal or partial drop. Courier and click-and-collect orders sit in their own lanes, off the runs.
★★★★★ Trusted by 600+ suppliers
A van leaves without two cartons and nobody knows until the customer rings
Shorts and refusals are scribbled on the docket, and the credit is raised days later
Cash on delivery comes back in an envelope that never quite matches the invoices
Crates and empties go out every day and nobody can say who is holding them
Group postcodes into zones, then turn on the options your fleet uses — exceptions, load sheets, carton scans, COD, crates, pre-starts.
The driver completes the pre-start checklist and scans every carton onto the van. Anything missing is flagged before the run leaves.
Delivered quantity per line, reason for any short, photo, signature, cash collected and crates swapped — even without signal.
Review exceptions and approve credits, close the cash-up per run, and keep crate balances per customer up to date.

Group postcodes into zones with their own delivery days. Unassigned orders show their zone, or a clear “Outside zones” tag. Moving existing customers into zones runs as a dry run first and can be undone within 30 days. Each run gets a load sheet that groups cartons by frozen, chilled and ambient.
A pre-start checklist you define — tyres, fridge unit, load secure — is completed in the driver app, and a defect emails the office. At load-out the driver scans every carton; any that weren’t scanned are listed by customer before the run starts. Need to add a late order? Drop it onto a live run and the driver accepts it in the app.
Drivers record the delivered quantity line by line, with a reason, photo and signature for anything short or refused. A partial delivery drafts a credit note for exactly what wasn’t delivered. Gate codes and unattended-drop instructions show to the assigned driver only, and the app keeps working offline, syncing each stop once.
An exceptions inbox collects every short, refusal and partial so the office can approve or amend the credit. Cash on delivery is reconciled per run in the cash-up, expected against collected. Crate balances are kept per customer, and delivery performance reports export to CSV. Courier and collection orders have their own lanes, with dockets and a no-login run sheet for couriers.

A standalone delivery app means re-keying the day’s orders, and what drivers record at the door never reaches your credits, invoices or stock without someone typing it in again. In Open Pantry the run is built from the orders already in the system, and every short, cash collection and crate swap lands on the same order record your office works from.
