Open Pantry for Suppliers

Everything Open Pantry does for food wholesalers

Open Pantry is one system that runs a food wholesale business end to end: it captures the orders your customers send, turns them into picks and deliveries, invoices them automatically, syncs the result to your accounting package, and shows you the margin on every line. Open Pantry features — common questions

What features does Open Pantry include for food wholesalers?

Open Pantry covers the full wholesale cycle: order capture (including AI capture of emailed, texted and photographed orders), a branded ordering app for your customers, standing and recurring orders, per-customer pricing and promotions, digital pick and pack, selling the same product by carton, tray or each, delivery routing with live ETAs, lot tracking and FEFO picking, automatic invoicing and payments, credits and returns, accounting sync with Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks, inventory and stocktakes, purchasing with automatic purchase orders, three-way vendor invoice matching, and live margin and COGS analytics.

Do I have to take every feature, or can I start with just one part?

You can start with one part. Most suppliers begin with order capture and the branded ordering app, because that is where the manual typing is, then switch on pick and pack, invoicing and inventory as they go. Every feature works on its own and works better alongside the others.

Which features are included on which plan?

Ordering, pick and pack, delivery and invoicing are core. Accounting sync and inventory sit on the Pro plan. AI order capture and the white-label branded ordering app sit on the Enterprise plan. The pricing page sets out exactly what is in each plan.

Does Open Pantry replace my accounting software?

No. Open Pantry runs the ordering, fulfilment and invoicing side, then syncs invoices, credits and payments into Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks so your accountant keeps working the way they already do. You do not enter anything twice.

Can Open Pantry handle products sold by weight or by different units?

Yes. The same product can be sold by carton, tray, kilogram or each, with the price, the pick slip and the invoice all reflecting the unit the customer actually ordered in. Catch-weight items are priced on the weight that was picked.

How long does it take to get set up?

Most suppliers are taking live orders within a few weeks. Your catalogue and customer list are imported for you, and you can run Open Pantry alongside your current process while your customers move across.

Do my customers need to download an app to order from me?

They can, but they do not have to. Venues can order through your branded app, through the web, or keep emailing and texting exactly as they do now — AI order capture reads those and turns them into real orders on your system.

Is Open Pantry a marketplace where other suppliers can see my customers?

No. Open Pantry is your own software. Your catalogue, your pricing and your customer list are yours alone, and no other supplier can see them.
