Ask Open Pantry is your AI assistant, built into the dashboard and connected to your live data. Think of it as a knowledgeable colleague you can ask anything — it answers how-to questions, points you to the right screen, and can look into your own numbers.

What can Ask Open Pantry do?

• Answer how-to questions — "How do I set custom pricing for a customer?", "How do I run a promotion?", "How do I turn emailed orders into digital ones?" It explains the steps in plain English.
• Take you to the right screen — as well as explaining, it can point you straight to the page you need so you're not hunting through the menus.
• Investigate your customers — ask "Which customers are at risk of being lost?" or "Where's my opportunity to grow?" and it surfaces the answer from your live data and the Reporting suite.
• Pull simple reports — it can fetch figures such as revenue, top products, stock and margins for you.

How do I ask a question?

1. Open your dashboard and find the Ask Open Pantry box.
2. Click one of the suggested prompt chips, or type your own question into the field.
3. Read the answer. Where there's a relevant screen, the assistant will offer a link to take you there.

Good to know: Ask Open Pantry is grounded in your real account data and the Open Pantry help centre, so its answers are specific to your business. If a question falls outside what it can do, it will tell you plainly rather than guess.
